Our 40-day program is based in Sitka and at wilderness sites in the Sitka area. It utilizes a cohort model, in which 8-10 students enter and participate in the program as a peer support group in a family-style environment.
Raven's Way integrates these components into its treatment program:
Individual and group counseling
Substance abuse assessment and education
Hazelden "Step" work and relapse prevention
Wilderness expedition and ropes course activities
Activities relevant to Native cultures
Peer support groups
Home-like residential living
Aftercare planning and follow-up contacts
Raven's Way is accredited by the Commission for the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
Additional Associated Accreditations
The Raven's Way academic program is part of the accredited Sitka School District.
Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital is JCAHO accredited.
Raven's Way adheres to the ethical standards of the National Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC).
