Sitka Health Film Fest seeks entries from SE Alaskans

JUNEAU – Through a Community Transformation Grant, SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) has partnered with the University of Alaska Southeast Sitka Campus to create the Sitka Health Film Fest. The festival will take place on March 27 and is currently looking for participation from communities all over Southeast Alaska.

What does a healthy community look like? Would you like to create a story that reflects wellness and health that you want to share? Enter your three to ten minute video or digital story that focuses on community level wellness, nutrition or physical activity for a public screening at the Sitka Health Film Fest on March 27th at 7:00pm at the UAS campus. The top vote getters at the screening will be featured as part of the Fall 2014 Sitka Health Summit and given an award.

Your entry must be received no later than March 21st at the SEARHC Community Health Services Building, Room #303, 222 Tongass Drive, Sitka.  All films must be submitted as DVDs or BluRay discs. All entries and accompanying materials will not be returned and will become the property of the Film Festival.

Your submission must include the following: First/Last Name, address (including city, state, and zip code), phone number, email address, website (if applicable), a synopsis of your entry (a short, typed description of the film’s content), and credits (a complete list of principal cast and production participants).
