October 03 2010Do you have ideas about how we can improve cancer care in Southeast Alaska? Do you have cancer care experiences that you want to share? Sitka Community Hospital and the SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) will host a meeting to gather input from the community about improving cancer care in Sitka and Southeast Alaska. The meeting takes place from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 12, at the Sitka Community Hospital classroom. Consultants from Oncology Management Consulting Group will lead a discussion as we explore ways to improve and enhance the care we provide to patients with cancer and their families. This meeting is open to the public. During the meeting, the consultants will ask community members about their opinions and experiences with cancer care, including quality, accessibility and availability of patient services. For more information, contact Alyssa Sexton with Sitka Community Hospital at 747-0388 or Connie Goldhahn with SEARHC at 966-8629.
