March 22 2010The SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) is pleased to help coordinate the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium’s (ANTHC) second annual “Camp Coho.” Camp Coho is a children’s grief camp for 6- to 12-year-old Alaskan Native children who have lost a loved one to cancer within the past 12 months. Camp Coho will provide activities led by trained and experienced staff that will help children to better understand and share their feelings of loss and grief. Camp Coho will be held in Anchorage on Saturday, May 8. SEARHC and Sealaska Corp. are partnering to provide mileage airfare to/from Anchorage from Southeast Alaska, and lodging in Anchorage. In order for the Sealaska Corp. to provide lodging, the child must be a Sealaska shareholder or the descendant of a Sealaska shareholder.
