January 07 2010The SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital in Sitka is pleased to announce the addition of Patrick K. Denman, PA-C, to its medical staff. “As the third midlevel practitioner working in our Outpatient Department, Patrick is an excellent addition,” said Dr. Marty Grasmeder, MD, SEARHC Sitka Primary Care Services Medical Director. “While he is newly out of PA (physician assistant) school, he comes with excellent training and a broad range of experiences prior to attending school. He’ll be a great fit in the department, and will help us to improve patient flow in Outpatient while providing excellent care.” Denman earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Minnesota, and he completed his physician assistant studies at Jefferson College of Health Sciences in Roanoke, Va. He is certified as a physician assistant by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants. “I am very excited to have the opportunity to work with the providers and staff of SEARHC and getting to know the patients who make up the SEARHC community,” Denman said. Denman previously worked as an emergency room technician and a medical examiner investigator. His medical interests include emergency medicine and urgent care. He also enjoys hiking, mountain biking, baseball and climbing.
