The SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) S’áxt’ Hít Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital in Sitka is pleased to announce the addition of Andrew D. “Drew” Bodmer, PA-C, to its medical staff. “Drew is the newest addition to our midlevel practitioner staff,” said Dr. Marty Grasmeder, Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital Medical Director. “He is bright, personable, knowledgeable, and very enthusiastic. I am glad he has chosen to join our practice here in Sitka.” Bodmer earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and he earned a master’s degree in physician assistant studies at A.T. Still University of Health Sciences in Mesa, Ariz. He is certified as a physician assistant by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants. “I am very happy to be working with SEARHC, to have an opportunity to serve our patients, and to learn and grow as a provider,” Bodmer said. Before moving to Sitka, Bodmer previously worked as a physician assistant in a family medicine private practice and in pediatric urgent care in Mesa, Ariz. Bodmer said he enjoys the variety of medicine and hasn’t found an area to specialize in yet. He will work in urgent care for SEARHC. He also enjoys hiking, camping, running, mountaineering, scuba diving and spending time with his family.
