JUNEAU – Every third Thursday in November, tobacco users are encouraged to make a plan and set a date to quit for life, or pledge to be smoke-free for 24 hours as a part of the American Cancer Society’s Great American Smokeout. JUNEAU – Starting on November 23, SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) will be moving from its weekend Walk-In Clinic model at the Ethel Lund Medical Center in Juneau to scheduling specific appointment times for patients on Saturday and Sunday. [Read more]
SITKA – The SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) is pleased to welcome Dr. Elliot Bruhl as the new Medical Director at SEARHC Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital in Sitka. His tenure began on September 30.
Dr. Bruhl initially worked at Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital for eight years, from 1998 through 2006. He was a physician and medical director for Sitka's Mountainside Family Healthcare in 2007-08. When he returned to SEARHC in 2009, Bruhl worked as a family physician and served as Chief of Services Critical Care and Emergency Medicine at Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital. [Read more]
JUNEAU – The SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) will soon be expanding its clinic hours at the Ethel Lund Medical Center in Juneau.
Beginning Monday November 4, the clinic along with the Pharmacy will be open from 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM Monday through Thursday and 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM on Friday. The weekday hours were previously 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. [Read more]
SITKA – Raven’s Way, the SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) residential teen substance abuse treatment program, has made a few changes recently. The most important being a shift from scheduled enrollment, where students were only able to participate in the program during specific sessions, to “open enrollment” which allows parents the flexibility to enroll their child in need of treatment for substance abuse any time throughout the year.
