Retirement

SEARHC offers all employees the ability to participate in a 403(b) Tax Sheltered Annuity Plan.  SEARHC provides a match of up to 5% of a benefited employees pay with 100% immediate vesting.  Eligibility to participate begins upon hire.

There is a 457(b) Top Hat plan also available for employees earning more than $115,000.  The Plan offers you an opportunity to save by deferring a portion of your pay on a pre-tax basis.  Your contributions are not limited by your contributions to the 403(b) plan.

Paid Time Off

SEARHC offers Paid Time Off (PTO) to all benefited employees. PTO accounts for vacation, sick, and personal leave. It also includes 8 recognized holidays.

There are 3 PTO tiers:

Tier I: hourly and salaried support staff (ex. CNA’s, Accountants, Electricians).

  • Starts at 9.5 hours of PTO earned every 2 weeks (247 hours/year).
  • Can carry over 280 hours/year.

Tier II: hourly and salaried paraprofessionals and Division Directors (ex. RNs, Radiology Techs, Physical Therapists).

  • Starts at 10.5 hours of PTO earned every 2 weeks (273 hours/year).
  • Can carry over 320 hours/year.

Tier III: exempt medical professionals (Physicians, NPs, Dentists).

  • Starts at 11.5 hours of PTO earned every 2 weeks (299 hours/year).
  • Can carry over 320 hours/year.

PTO in excess of carryover amount is paid out at the employees current rate of pay at the end of the calendar year.

PTO accrual is pro-rated depending on the hours an employee works.

Health Benefits

Employees have the choice of 19 medical plans offered through the Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB). SEARHC pays 72% of the premiums on average. Employees are able to sign up immediately upon hire. Individual and family options are available.

Dental & Vision Benefits

Employees have the choice to purchase Dental & Vision Insurance through Guardian. SEARHC pays 72% of the premiums. Employees are able to sign up immediately upon hire. Individual and family options are available.

Life Insurance & Long Term Disability

SEARHC provides 2 times your annual salary up to $300,000 with a minimum amount of $20,000, a $1,000 policy for spouse and children included, Accidental Death & Dismemberment, and Long Term Disability paid by employer. Employees have the opportunity to purchase supplemental life insurance for self, spouse and children.

Short Term Disability

Employees have the choice to purchase supplemental Short Term Disability Insurance through Colonial Life Insurance. These optional plans are customized by you and Colonial to meet your Short Term Disability needs.

Flexible Spending Arrangement Plan

The Flexible Spending Account option makes it possible for you to reduce your taxable compensation to pay employee healthcare expenses such as insurance deductibles, co-insurance, other expenses which may not be covered by your healthcare plan, and dependent care expenses.
