About Eagles vs. Ravens
The Eagles vs. Ravens Wellness Challenge takes a holistic approach toward improving a person's overall wellness, as participants compete by earning points for physical activity and other healthy endeavors such as quitting tobacco, improving their nutrition, getting annual check-ups, reducing their stress, drinking water, mentoring, or for taking part in community or cultural events. The Eagles vs. Ravens Wellness Challenge is a great first step for people wanting to take charge of their own health.
The 2007 Eagles vs. Ravens Wellness Challenge takes place from Aug. 1 to Sept. 30 in Juneau, and now the contest is online so Juneau residents can record points when they travel. This event is open to all Juneau residents, who can compete for their respective moieties, teams of 2-8 people or as individuals.
Online registration takes place from July 15 to Aug. 15, and there will be a kick-off celebration from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 29, at the Tlingit-Haida Community Center, 3235 Hospital Drive, with Native dancing, healthy food and t-shirts for the first 400 participants.
