- Health care offers opportunities to work both with people as well as with high tech equipment.
What can I do while I'm still in high school to help prepare for a career in health?
- Attend the Della Keats Program for Alaska Native high school students interested in health careers, or apply for a summer student health internship.
- Sign up for the weeklong SEARHC Village Health Occupations Program and learn about health careers as part of your high school studies.
- Take as many science and math classes as you can at your high school.
- Talk to the SEARHC Tribal Recruitment Coordinator or to your high school counselor to get more information on preparing for a career in health.
