SEARHC hosts Denali KidCare pediatric dental clinic in Kake

06/04/2010—The SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) Kake Health Center will host a special Denali KidCare pediatric dental clinic on June 21-25 for older children ages 13-18 only.

This special pediatric dental clinic will feature dental examination appointments on Monday and Tuesday, June 21-22, with follow-up treatment taking place later in the week (June 23-25). The clinic is open for children younger than 18 years old who are currently enrolled in the State of Alaska’s Denali KidCare program or are on Medicaid. Dr. Barbara Beach will lead the pediatric dental team for this clinic.

Parents and guardians who wish to have their children participate in this special clinic should call Kimberly Moler at the SEARHC Kake Health Center at 785-6542 to schedule an appointment for an exam. Denali KidCare is a state program that provides health insurance and access to health care for Alaska resident children younger than 18 of working and non-working parents, and for expecting mothers who meet income guidelines. SEARHC partners with the Denali KidCare program to provide special clinics around the region when pediatric dentists are available.
