AAAHC Accreditation

SEARHC Community Health Services has been accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) for the:

• Haines Health Center and the
• Alicia Roberts Medical Center (Klawock).

This is an important milestone in the continuing growth and success of our health care organization. We have an unwavering commitment to providing the highest levels of quality care to our patients, and the same high level of conduct in our business practices. Accreditation by the AAAHC is proof of this commitment, and it signifies we meet the rigorous standards of a nationally recognized third party.

These two clinics meet the AAAHC standards in areas such as:

• Rights of Patients,
• Governance,
• Quality of Care,
• Quality Improvement,
• Clinical Records,
• Laboratory Services, and
• Professional Improvements.

In the next survey (scheduled for Spring 2009) SEARHC not only will be resurveyed in the Haines and Klawock clinics, it will seek accreditation for these additional clinics:

• Angoon,
• Kake,
• Hydaburg, and
• Thorne Bay.

It is our goal to continue to provide all SEARHC beneficiaries an extra measure of confidence to our community. We are proud to meet the challenge of accreditation, and intend to consistently uphold the principles of quality improvement and quality care in the future.
