POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides professional nursing care to infants, toddlers, children, adolescents, adults, and elderly in a hospital-based ambulatory care clinic. Utilizes nursing process to provide care to ambulatory patients who are at varying levels of wellness and disease. Initiates nursing actions and provides comprehensive nursing care to meet the physical, emotional, spiritual, and socio-cultural needs to the patient and family. Participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other members of the healthcare team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Guidelines include physician?s orders, standards of care, nursing policies and procedures, manuals, and hospital policies.
BASELINE QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
? Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (Bachelor?s, Associates, or Diploma in nursing)
? Commission Corp Officers meet billet description requirements for a 0 - 2 to 0 - 3
? Minimum of 2 years nursing experience is preferred
? A valid, current, full and unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska
? Current BLS
